# Data Deletion Instructions

## Delete your account

**In the app:** Account → Delete account. **On your coach's website:** Account → Sign-in & security → Delete account. Either way, we email you a 6-digit code to confirm it's you.

- Your account closes as soon as you confirm. You're signed out on that device at once, and on your other devices within an hour.
- We remove your data within 30 days. This includes the check-ins, form answers and messages held in your account for your coaches. We keep payment records, with your details removed, for six years, as UK tax law requires, and a record of your consent choices.
- Your coaches lose access to all of it, at the latest when we remove it. We tell each coach you trained with that you've closed your account, so they can delete any copies they made outside Boost.
- Any subscription you pay a coach stops renewing, so no more payments are taken. Your access ends when your account closes. Closing it doesn't refund the rest of the period you've paid for. Ask your coach if you think you're owed a refund.
- If you signed in with Apple, we tell Apple to end Boost's link to your Apple ID.
- We email you to confirm.

## By email

Write to [**support@boostfitness.io**](mailto:support@boostfitness.io) from your account's email address. We reply within 5 working days and finish within 30 days. Coaches who want to close their account should email us.

## If you signed in with Facebook

If you remove Boost Fitness in your Facebook settings, Facebook tells us and shows you a confirmation code. We remove Facebook sign-in from your Boost account within 30 days and ask whether you'd like your account closed. To check progress, email us your code at [**support@boostfitness.io**](mailto:support@boostfitness.io).

## What we keep

- Payment records: six years, with your name and contact details removed, as UK tax law requires.
- A record of your consent choices: six years, with only the details needed to show what you agreed to.
- Your request itself: six years after it closes, to show we acted on it.
- Backups: deleted data can stay in encrypted backups for up to 7 days, until they are overwritten.

## Leaving a coach is different

Your account and what you log yourself stay. That coach's access ends at once, and their records about you in Boost are deleted. Our [**Privacy Policy**](https://boostfitness.io/legal/privacy-policy) explains this in more detail.
